NOTD - Essie Lapiz of Luxury

The nailpolish I have on today was another impulse buy that I snatched up 5 minutes before Boots closed for the day! It's a particular shade of blue that has taken me ages to find and I'm so glad I finally did.

Light blue nails were definitely on trend this past spring and as I have quite tanned hands, it was hard to find a shade that didn't wash my skin out. Queue Essie's Lapiz of Luxury <3

This is such a calm, cozy and dreamy pale blue colour. It's a very cool, muted blue that has the tiniest hint of purple in it.

Past experiences with Essie (Lolipop and Sexy Divide) have left me unimpressed with the finish and longevity of the polish, but I was curious to try the new formulation sold in Superdrug and Boots after reading rave reviews.

They weren't lying.

I am so impressed with this polish! I applied it on the train on Saturday morning and by Monday evening (time of writing) I have had one tiny chip on my right index finger. ONE! This is unprecedented in my book.
Not to say that there isn't the usual slight wear at the tips here and there but nothing awful at all.

Overall, I am LOVING wearing this colour right now, especially with how grim it is outside, Lapiz of Luxury is giving me a soft yet bright splash of colour. This will definitely be a staple of mine in the coming months and I'm really looking forward to trying more Essie shades in the new formulation!
